In Leamington, there are a number of charities and statutory support agencies who work closely with those in need to assess their personal requirements and access funding tailored to their individual cases. Support, 7 Days a Week

Below is a summary of support services that are readily available to help homeless people or those at risk of homelessness in Royal Leamington Spa. Together they provide support 7 days a week. Most of these organisations rely on volunteers, funding and your donations. They also provide many other aspects of support, for homeless people, in addition to those listed below.

Helping Hands like to give a ‘hand up’ not just a hand-out through new skills, work experience and qualifications. The House 2 Home project supports recently homed and low-income families with goods from fridges to furniture. They also run The Lighthouse Charity Shop & Drop-in and the Gateway Café. Helping Hands is a local charity that relies entirely on the support of volunteers and donations.

Food and shelter are offered to the most vulnerable and homeless people in the area by a team of volunteers. Leamington Night Shelter offers hospitality, a warm welcome and other help were possible. The service relies entirely on the support of volunteers and donations.

In addition, they offer access drug and alcohol treatment, healthcare, assistance with benefits, reconnection to their local area/country, and more. P3 is a national charity that works locally with funding from Warwickshire County Council.

The Way-Ahead Project is a drop-in advice and activity centre for people who are homeless, looking for work, vulnerably housed or struggling with mental health or addictions.

An extensive range of services are offered. There is a drop-in Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (9.30am - 11.30am) where support is offered in respect to accommodation, detox/rehab facilities, benefits and budgeting. After 11.30 support is offered on an appointment basis until 3pm. On a Saturday (9.30-12pm) they host a breakfast club. This includes a fully cooked breakfast and games where the visitors are encouraged to participate in the cooking.

During opening hours visitors can also cook for themselves and there is access to phone and computers, breakfast, food parcels, showers, laundry and cooking facilities as well as exercise and faith groups.

They are the base for Big Issue distribution, hold a weekly cooking class with an opportunity to gain a food hygiene certificate and work monthly with a podiatry charity and a local barber.

They offer bed space, washing facilities, hot showers, toiletries, breakfast each day and full kitchen facilities. This is not a night shelter, so residents do not need to leave the building in the day and support is available to residents throughout the day. A bed can be reserved on the day between 7am-9pm at the hostel.
