In Leamington, there are a number of charities and statutory support agencies who work closely with those in need to assess their personal requirements and access funding tailored to their individual cases. These include housing services, advice, training, rehabilitation, food and emergency shelter, and more.

Support, 7 Days a Week

Below is a summary of support services that are readily available to help homeless people or those at risk of homelessness in Royal Leamington Spa. Together they provide support 7 days a week. Most of these organisations rely on volunteers, funding and your donations. They also provide many other aspects of support, for homeless people, in addition to those listed below.

CGL Warwickshire is a recovery-focused service with a full range of treatments and interventions including harm reduction, opiate replacement prescribing, residential and community detoxes, counselling, emotional support and supported access to mutual aid. Support in accessing training, employment and housing will also be available. Change Grow Live is a national charity that works locally with funding from Warwickshire County Council.

Helping Hands like to give a ‘hand up’ not just a hand-out through new skills, work experience and qualifications. The House 2 Home project supports recently homed and low-income families with goods from fridges to furniture. They also run The Esther Group for vulnerable women, The Lighthouse Charity Shop and the Gateway Café. Helping Hands is a local charity that relies entirely on the support of volunteers and donations.

New Chapters will provide much-needed affordable drug and alcohol recovery for people in Leamington Spa and the surrounding area. They need to raise £100,000 each year to provide the quality, long-term support people need to recover from addiction. Can you help them? 

The aim is to provide affordable, long-term residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation. Their three-stage programme will support people to overcome addiction and build a fulfilling life.

  • Stage 1: becoming substance free
  • Stage 2: independence and maintenance 
  • Stage 3: aftercare and peer support

Their work will save the police, NHS and social services an estimated £5.22 for every £1 spent on addiction rehab and recovery.
